Project of Phyllis May Gagnon, State Regent NHSODAR
Dedication Ceremony followed by a Reception & Light Refreshments
Given overwhelming support by the NH State DAR, State Regent Gagnon’s project is an enduring tribute to our Revolutionary War Patriots – a meditation area and memorial stone in honor of the Nation’s first Veterans.
Located at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, a Memorial Obelisk will be the focal point of the Meditation Area. This stone will be set on a floor of granite pavers and flanked by two granite benches. Edged with purple lilacs, this memorial will fill the void along the existing Memorial Walkway where no marker had yet been dedicated to the Patriots of the Revolutionary War.
The New Hampshire National Guard proudly traces its roots to 1680 when the New Hampshire Militia was organized. During the Revolutionary War, many New Hampshire men fought in the siege of Boston under the command of John Stark, and distinguished themselves as part of the 1st NH Regiment. It is to the memory of these brave men and all our Revolutionary Patriots that this project is dedicated.

Please R.S.V.P. with name and number of guests attending to: NHSODAR Corresponding Secretary, Patricia Holt at patriciaholt41@gmail.com before April 1, 2015.
