All - there is rain in the forecast for late tonight and tomorrow. Therefore, we are going to pull in the flags and put them in the maintenance garage today (May 31st). WE WILL STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP STORE THE FLAGS TOMORROW, JUNE 1ST AT 1:00 PM. If you have time today and can stop by the cemetery, we can use help retrieving the flags (we have nine scheduled interments today, so the staff is quite busy). We realize this is not optimal, but we cannot store the flags wet.
We will still hold the planting event at 11:00 AM tomorrow, unless the rain is very heavy or there is lightning. Please call the cemetery if you have questions or need updates. Thanks!
The Marine Corps League and staff of the NH State Veterans Cemetery cordially invites you to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony commencing at 11:00AM, Monday, May 30, 2022 at 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Route 3, Boscawen NH 03303.
Seating is limited so you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for your comfort. The ceremony normally runs for one hour.
Please plan to arrive about 10:30 to avoid traffic back-up and time to park and walk.
No interments will be scheduled that day, however the grounds will be open from dawn to dusk and the restrooms will be available to the public.
Cemetery staff will be available to assist visitors with questions and locating gravesites.

Below is a statement regarding the passing of the Burial Equity for Guards and Reserves Act. We are working diligently to develop the processes and procedures required to implement this legislation in New Hampshire. In the meantime, if this legislation applies to you please fill out an NHSVC application and provide your discharge paperwork stating your term of enlistment and your character of discharge (e.g. honorable, etc.). We will process these applications once the program is fully established.
NHSVC application is located here: http://www.nhsvc.com/burial-application
All are invited to attend this event where we will place a flag and flower on every headstone in the NHSVC.
