NH State Veterans Cemetery Updated COVID-19 Guidelines

Procedures the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery due to COVID-19

Based on guidelines from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery Administration, the following guidelines are effective at the NH State Veterans Cemetery (NHSVC) until further notice:

The NHSVC is open and will continue to provide interments for Veterans and eligible family members. Starting March 23, 2020, as a matter of public health and safety, committal services and the rendering of military funeral honors, whether by military personnel or volunteer organizations, will NOT be conducted at the NHSVC.  Immediate family members (limited to 10 individuals) of the deceased may witness the interment of their loved one from a safe distance.  A committal service with military honors may be scheduled after these restrictions are lifted.

The NHSVC remains open to visitors, but we strongly urge all guests to obey local travel restrictions.  Staff will be onsite Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm.  Staff will maintain physical distance from each other and from visitors.

The NHSVC office is closed to walk-in traffic.  Check-in for interments will happen at the gravesite.  Staffing of the administration office will be mostly remote.  If your call is not answered, please leave a voicemail and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Further updates will be posted on the NH State Veterans Cemetery Facebook page located at:  https://www.facebook.com/NHSVC/?ref=br_rs
